In Chopin music topic, we were talking about the strange ornament in nocturne op.72-1 and I mentioned not in favor of Arrau's playing the nocturnes.
Has anybody listened to Maria Joao Pires version by DG? I say that they're very emotional but one of my friends said that they're are so aggressive and even vulgar

She's a good pianist. She knows how to attract listeners' attention. I find some, not all, of her parts in every nocturne excellent. But overall, if I were to choose a complete set, I would listen to Moravec, Barenboim, or Dang Thai Son.

Her nocturne is "firey night" ! In no way they're sleepy, but sometimes too much!
