I just listened to two ballades by Liszt. It's quite different from Chopin's. I don't know what to say but Liszt's are also poetic like Chopin's.

Does anyone have any information on the difference between Chopin's & Liszt's ballades?

Well the difference should be kind of obvious - the notes Laughing .

Anyway, from what I know, all of Chopin's ballades were inspired by his Polish friend Adam Mickiewicz's poems. This kind of explains why his ballades sound so "poetic" to us. Liszt's ballades are beautiful as well, but I think they were just written without any influence such as poems. Chopin sort of had more inspiration. I hope what I said makes sense.
